Chafing and Shin Splints

Good weekend.  I mean, it was a really good weekend.  I absolutely loved my run yesterday.  I am feeling so empowered from it.  I wasn't even really sore today either.  Maybe a little tender in my quads but other than that I was good...until I got to the gym.  Then I realized that I may have a bit of shin splints.  When we started kicking the bag it felt like my shins were bruised every time they made contact with the bag.  I will really have to watch that, I don't want them to get any worse.  I also realized that I have a little chafing in a rather sensitive area too.  This is a good lesson for all of us.  See, when I was a "fatter" girl I wore big girl panties.  You know, the kind that covers the whole dairy aire.  Then as I got "skinnier" I got sexier under ware.  Now I like to wear thong style undies.  They actually are more comfortable.  But, my recently purchased ones have lace in the back and around the waist band.  What I discovered today is that the lace in the back has caused some chafing in my crack.  I know, it's another moment in which I hope you weren't taking a drink of something when you read that for fear you might spit it out your nose.  This bit of inoformation may save someone else from this uncomfortable irritation in the future.  I'm obligated to let people know the good and the bad.  So this weekend's lesson is two fold.  1.  Be careful of the shin splints (I might need to look into some new training shoes) and 2.  Be conscious of the undies you have one before you head out the door on an LR.

On a brighter note, I have been asked to teach a yoga class at the new Extreme Results Cardio Center.  I am super stoked about this opportunity.  To be honest, I was waiting for this opportunity. When they first started talking about it and posting things on FB about what they were doing I knew I wanted to be a part of it.  I love Extreme Results and I love teaching yoga.  Marry the two together and I am in heaven!  There are so many opportunities opening up to me right now.  I so know that 2013 is going to be a pivotal year for me and my family.  I am going to be patient and enjoy each opportunity as it unfolds in front of me.
