Rainy Days and Mondays

Monday 12/3/12

Another crappy weekend but this time I let the weather talk me right out of doing my LR yesterday. Yep, I skipped a training run and to punish myself, I made myself run today. Even though it wasn't the scheduled 7 miles that I was suppose to do yesterday, it was still a punishment since this is non running day. This is not my usual dilemma. Usually I run no matter what. If nothing else gets done for the day, my run does. I was kind of beating myself up last night about it too but I just couldn't convince myself to get out there. Then this morning I realized why. My period came almost a week early. This is getting to be a problem. I go a few months totally on a normal schedule, then I will have a couple of months where everything is totally screwed up. Big sigh. Anyway, that probably examples all the binge eating this weekend too. I tell you, I have got to get my eating under control. Today was a much better day. I am even on top of my water intake too.

Saturday night I totally binged on Olive Garden. My husband's idea. Sometimes he is totally a bad influence on me. He;ll blame it on me though. Then on Sunday, there was a soup and pie party. And, it would be rude to not try something of everything...right? So needless to say, this weekend was a major fail. However, I am considering doing a 3 day detox over the weekend to get myself back on track. Dr. Oz has a good one that is doable. I think I will plan that for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.



Then there was the buying of the new vehicle on Friday which also sent me over the edge a little bit. You know I am a total worrier. So, as much as I needed (and wanted) a new car and this has been the plan for months now I still have a ton of anxiety about it. My head is going though tons of what its right now about it. These are the things that effect my rest and my workouts. My head is the most important factor in my physical well being. Sounds crazy but my mind can either drive me forward toward my goals like a cheetah chasing dinner or it can stop me dead in my tracks out of fear and make me stick my head in the sand like an ostrich. Talking back to the negative is the only way I will be able to make it the other side of this.
